Information Graphic

The California Energy Commission is required to adopt and transmit to the Governor and Legislature a report of findings every two years. This report is called the Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR). Within the report, several information graphics are used to illustrate energy statistics. With an already assigned color palette, this Infographic represented the amount of Distributed Generation in Mega Watts. Rather than using a typical pie chart, an innovative bar graph was depicted horizontally for ease of page placement as well as integrating the reports' theme into the image.
